While prior experience in wine production is greatly valued, this position will be filled by someone willing to accept the challenge of learning and growing in the job. We are a small business with a close knit crew. Naturally, the applicant must be comfortable being part of a team, and willing to help in all aspects of winery operations. This team member will report directly to ownership and senior winemaking staff. A positive outlook with a growth mindset will be required.

Candidates for this position will be tasked with:

  • Lab Work: Perform lab analysis, interpret and report the results and enact appropriate cellar actions.
  • Cellar Work: Racking, blending, fining, stabilizing, filtration, finishing and so on. General cellar order is top priority.
  • Inventory Management: Weekly bulk and cased inventory with stock adjustment.
  • Record keeping: Both written and computer based. Excel specifically as well as Google Sheets and Docs, Word, and Gmail, etc.
  • Bottling: Mechanical ability is key throughout the winery and no less so on the bottling line. You will be required to be on the line on bottling days.
  • Vineyard: Seasonal; Pruning, trellising, training, scouting, sampling, harvesting and associated activities.
  • Equipment: General understanding of equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, tractors, ATVs etc.
  • Product development: Learn and improve upon our catalogue, bring experience and ideas to the table, ensure quality production across all styles.

Physical rigors of the job. Realize that long days will be required, be comfortable climbing ladders, be able to lift 55lbs repeatedly when necessary.

Compensation: $15-25 DOE, 401K, PTO, Quick promotion to winemaking lead for the right candidate.
